Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competing within the UFC flyweight division. She is older than her fellow UFC fighter and the former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport started with her debut as an Muay Thai competitor. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title and then defeated Suzane Mller with a majority vote. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medals in 2007 and 2008 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, and the 2016 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia started her professional journey when she was in the year 2003. She has won several championships, including the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tsidblad Keskikangas at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko kicked off career-long MMA profession in the year 2002 after an impressive win against Anara Baanova, during the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won this fight by TKO after round 2 and the subsequent 2 matches were held at the WXF X-Impact World Championships. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing, and she made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to defeat Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko joined Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina's formidable strike abilities let her TKO Nievera via knees in the body. After this win, Antonina was able to sign an UFC contract. Antonina was given an UFC contract after her win. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modafferi by a split-decision fight after winning the first fight via unanimity. Antonina recovered from this loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler through rear-naked-choke submission. This earned her the bonus of a fight-of-the night. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn along with Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski, and beat Ariane. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
