Vinita Nair
She joined ABC News July of 2004 and has covered a variety of topics including that of the Jon Benet Ramsey investigation, and school shootings that occurred near Bailey, Colorado. Nair was recruited at the request of ABC News in December 2007 as a reporter/anchor on ABC News Now. As part of her role as a correspondent, Nair provided live reporting and briefings to ABC's network. Nair was a co-anchor for World News Now, America This Morning, and ABC's digital channel until September 17th in from 2008 until February 18, 2011. She was partnered with Jeremy Hubbard and later Rob Nelson in both shows. Nair announced on Thursday, 17 February 2011 that her last night the show's broadcast at World News Now would be the 18th of February, Friday. The same day would also mark her last day working for ABC News. Peggy Bunker, a former anchor at KDVR Denver, was her immediate successor. World News Now, February 18th was the first of three segments that paid tribute to Nair. The former and present colleagues appeared in the segments. The crew was treated to an excellent breakfast on her last day.
